More About It:

About the Director:

John Upchurch is the writer, director, and producer of the award-winning film Mango Dreams. His work beautifully explores themes of memory, friendship, and healing across cultures, with Mango Dreams earning international recognition for its powerful storytelling and human connection.
What makes John’s journey truly inspiring is that he comes from a background in computer programming, yet he followed his creative calling to become a filmmaker. A visit to India with his wife deeply moved him and planted the seed for Mango Dreams. He even chose to self-finance much of the film, driven purely by passion and the belief that this story needed to be told. We would definitely like to hear more about it from him.
